You can change the text size and switch on a higher-contrast colour scheme at any time. Your choice is stored on your own device and applies to every page until you reset it. The same controls are always available from the accessibility button in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, which is the standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act and by the accessibility policies of our partner universities. Accessibility is treated as part of building the site rather than as a later correction.

• A skip link that jumps straight to the main content of each page.
• Semantic headings, landmarks and lists so screen readers can navigate structure reliably.
• Visible focus outlines on every interactive element, and full keyboard operability including the navigation menu and accessibility panel.
• Text and interface colours chosen to meet AA contrast ratios, with a high-contrast mode for stronger separation.
• Text that reflows without loss of content when zoomed to 200% or viewed on a narrow screen.
• Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology.
• Respect for the operating system 'reduce motion' setting, which suppresses animation across the site.
• Form fields with programmatically associated labels and errors announced in context.

We are honest about the areas we are still improving. At present:

• Some partner logos are supplied as images without an accompanying text mark; we provide the institution name as alternative text in every case.
• Documents published by partner institutions and linked from this site (for example PDF curricula) may not yet be fully tagged for accessibility. We will supply an accessible alternative on request.
• Third-party content we may embed in future, such as video players or mapping tools, is not fully under our control. We will assess each embed before use.

Please tell us the page address and what you were trying to do. We aim to acknowledge within five working days and to agree a timescale for a fix or an alternative.

If you are not satisfied with how we respond, you may escalate the matter to the accessibility or equality office of the coordinating partner institution, or to the national accessibility monitoring body in your country. This statement is reviewed at least annually and whenever a significant change is made to the website.
